We want to clarify how we treat your personal details with the following statement, and strongly suggest you read through the below information.

Use of our services
When you use the services of Ik Hou van Hoorn, we save your personal details. These details are only utilised in order to perform our services.  Your details are saved on the secured servers of Holland Boven Amsterdam or those of a third party. We don’t save any more details than those that are necessary to perform services for our clients. The standard retention period of your details is two years, unless our service is of a longer duration. Under the term “service” we also mean the provision of information about news and meetings, if you have given consent for this.

Purposes of data processing
Your personal details are processed by us so that we can provide our services up to standard, and maintain the relations that result from these services. If you have given permission for this, we also use your details so we can send you newsletters and/or invitations. By definition, your personal details will have been provided to us by you. We don’t use any personal details that have been provided by third parties, unless we have made specific arrangements with that party, through a special processing agreement.

Hoorn Marketing only saves your personal details after you have given permission to do so. You can always cancel your permission by sending an email to info@ikhouvanhoorn.nl

Click stream and visitors’ data
We keep track of general visitors’ details on our website: predominantly the IP-address of your computer, the time of the request and the data that the visitor’s browser sends out are used for statistical analyses of click stream data on the website. We also optimise the website’s functionality this way. None of this information will be passed on to third parties.

Use of cookies
When we offer our electronic services we use cookies to remember your personal preferences and settings. Cookies are small bites of information that are sent to your browser and subsequently are stored on your hard disc or peripheral equipment.  The browser can return this exact information when you next visit the website. Cookies cannot damage your peripheral devices or the documents that have been stored on this.  Cookies are also placed by third parties via our website, for example by Google on behalf of the Google Analytics service. We do not have any control or say in how these cookies are being used, nor in the way that third parties may use the information gathered via cookies. Social media plug-ins
We offer access to different social media on our website such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. With the help of these so-called social plug-ins you can share and recommend information on the website. Cookies will be placed onto peripheral equipment, meant to optimise your user experience. Sometimes tracking cookies are placed, which are there to follow your surfing habits over several websites and to build a profile of these surfing habits. Apart from access to these social media, videos will be shown via the website, originating from third party websites such as YouTube. These third parties place cookies that enable them to show the videos to you.

Insight, correction and right to object
If you are in business with our company, you have the possibility to view your personal data. If the overview provided by us supplies errors, you can make a written request to change these details or to have them removed. You can also advise us in writing should you no longer wish to be approached with information about our products and services by letting us know via info@ikhouvanhoorn.nl. Underneath each mailing (newsletters and invitations) you will also have the option to unsubscribe via a link.
